Following on from a successful local campaign in 2007 to prevent the imposition of ill-conceived parking proposals over 80 streets in St Leonards, it was agreed by campaigners that these sort of proposals should not be steamrollered through by a town council without any proper consultation.

The St Leonards Business Association was subsequently formed in 2007 by the business people of St Leonards to represent their interests. And in conjunction with Local Residents Associations to present our Council and other statutory bodies with a strong and united voice wherever and whenever contentious local issues arise that could affect the livelihoods of our members, or the general amenity of the wider St Leonards community.
