Saturday was a real disaster and little work was taking place in the road. We are very concerned about the future. I agree with the previous comments that collective action MUST BE TAKEN against the Council. Where do we stand on business rates being reduced? We must let our customers know that we are open as normal via the Hastings Observer, possibly. It has been suggested that through our business insurance we may be covered for loss of trade/earnings. I think traders will need to take action at some point against the Council/Highways Agency, preferably collective action if we want to be heard.
